The MMA negotiating team met with the State team for three days last week. Work on the supplementals is continuing. We have made good progress on both, and hope to have a Tentative Agreement (TA) after the next dates scheduled August 16 - 18, 2017.
If we reach a TA at that time, the settlement will need to go to the MMA Board for their recommendation. Once the Board recommends the Tentative Agreement the next step is sending it to full members for their vote. You can anticipate a communication about the voting process sometime the last week in August.
We will post an update on the MMA website with more details about the voting process at that time. You must be a full dues paying member to vote on the Tentative Agreement. If you are not a full dues paying member ($18 deduction per pay period) now is the time to join!
