To all Middle Management Association members.
We are aware of the recent announcement by Governor Walz and the direction to change the telework policy for all state employees. MMA was not made aware of this change beforehand nor was this decision made with any input from the state’s labor partners. MMA’s Executive Director, Melissa Scheid has been in contact with Minnesota Management and Budget today along with the state’s other labor partners as we try to gain information relating to this directive from the Governor. Melissa is also reaching out to MMB senior leadership including MMB Commissioner Erin Campbell and Deputy Commissioner Blake Chaffee today. We intend to post an update on the MMA website as soon as possible. We are unable to send out an email blast to all members at this time, due to some technical issues in the office. In the meantime, please know that we are working on gathering as much information as possible and will relay that to you as early as possible. MMB issued a frequently asked questions sheet dated 03/26/2025. We have attached the MMB URL for the FAQ for your review. It may help answer some questions as we learn more about what is happening.
